How many times have you heard a man say, “I’m not sick”? They say it because they don’t want to be sick and, if they are sick, they don’t want to know about it.
My parents, having emigrated from Syria to western Canada in the early 1920s and having lived through the Great Depression, survived and raised a healthy family by consuming these soups, developed in their land of origin. When our neighbours found great difficulties in finding enough food to sustain themselves, we always had our delightful soups. - click headline or photo
