How to open a micro-account with XM

Go to the XM new member registration page

Fill in the mandatory fields.

Name and surname

Fill in the same name and surname as on the identity card.

Select account type

Before proceeding to the next step, you need to select your trading platform type - you can also choose MT4 (MetaTrader4) or MT5 (MetaTrader5) platform.

Select [Micro] under [Account type] and click [Continue to step 2].

 

Under [Account type], select [Micro (1 lot = 1,000)].

You need to enter the same address as your identity documents, as you will be asked to provide them when you activate your account.

Trading account details

The basic currency of the account can be EUR, USD or JPY, with JPY (Japanese Yen) being the most standard.

Leverage is 888 times and bonus receipt is on a voluntary basis.

Investor Relations

The maximum leverage is limited to 200 times if the investment is more than USD 20,000.

If you want to trade with 888 times leverage, select [5-20,000].

Create account password and agree to terms and conditions

The account password field must consist of lowercase letters, uppercase letters and numbers.

After filling in all the fields, you must finally agree to the Terms and Conditions, click the box and press [Open Real Account] as above.

Check the mailbox of the registered email address.

After pressing [Open Real Account], you will receive an email confirmation from XM.

You will receive an email in your mailbox similar to the one in the following image. Here, you need to activate your account by pressing where it says [Confirm email address]. This will finally activate your demo account.

Note that the authentication link will be deactivated if it is not completed within 24 hours.

XM account opening completed.

After email and account confirmation, a new browser tab will open with welcome information; you will also be provided with an identification or user number that can be used on the MT4 or Webtrader platform.

Back in your mailbox, you will see your account login details.

Make sure you save your ID and server information as this is used to log in to MT4.

Remember that the account opening and authorisation process is exactly the same for the Metatrader MT5 or Webtrader MT5 versions.

Activation of XM accounts (submission of required documents).
